MURIEL V. MENZIES (CUMBERS) March 5, 1923 September 18, 2010 Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband of 66 years, Maurice, her son Craig and daughter Adrienne (Soltau). She will be greatly missed by her son-in-law Peter Soltau and grandchildren, Christopher and Alexandra, her daughter-in-law Pam Menzies (Lewald) and grandchildren, Michael, Scott and Katie. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter (Pop) and Daisy Cumbers and all her brothers and sisters. Mom loved to dance and sing and was a professional tap dancer in her younger years. She could still tap out a tune, almost to the end. Her love for her family was unsurpassed and she always put everyone ahead of herself. She always said her greatest gift was her children and grandchildren. She was ours. She lived for her family and raised us with gentle love. The family wishes to thank St. Boniface Hospital 6AMedicine, CCU and Cardiology for their respect and care for Mom. There will be a memorial gathering for family and friends on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow.
